wish list

Joel and I give each other a monthly allowance.  We can buy whatever we want with it, guilt-free.

About me: I am a hoarder with money.  I always have been.  When I was younger, my siblings were always jealous because I had a lot of money just sitting around.

However, every once in a while, I remember how much money I have saved up, and I just want to spend ALL OF IT.  (Note: When I say it's soooooo much, it's usually like, $137, which is about as much as it was when I was a kid, too...)

So.  I'm reading, seeing daily deals, getting emails from The Grommet [I want everything on that website], whatever, and I just want to buy everything.
As you might imagine, when I go through these phases, I also am constantly reminding myself that most of what I want is unnecessary and I'll probably forget about it tomorrow.  (Maybe I do that to preserve my money stash?  For some reason I have a weird thing about not wanting to be below $100.  But I also dislike buying unnecessary extras.)

But sometimes.
Sometimes I don't forget about it tomorrow.
And I know I still don't need it!
But I still keep the tab open, just in case...

That being said, here's what's on my "what I really want but have not justified buying [yet?], usually because it seems so expensive for what it is" list right now.

Seche Vite top coat.  Apparently, it keeps your nail polish on really well.  $5

Jelt - an elastic belt that supposedly lays flat and is super grippy on your pants.
Belts never work for me, so I'm easily attracted to belts that seem like they work.  $30

JUMBO - the most adorable cutlery drain ever.  (I say "cutlery drain" like anyone knows what that means.  Basically, you set it next to your sink, put wet stuff in it, and the water goes out of the trunk into the sink.)  I would totally use one of these for my dish scrubber thing.  $17.46

Lettermate - a spacing stencil for addressing envelopes.  I tell myself I would use this all the time.  Who knows if I actually would, but I want one SO BAD.  $14.95

"A monthly gift that rewards + uplifts mothers."  You pay a monthly fee (or you can just do one month) and get a box with 4-6 gifts in it.  For one month, it's $33, but the monthly price goes down the longer your subscription is.  I found this when I was having a particularly rough mothering day, so now I feel like I would love it?

What's on your list?

"Not all Scotch is an acquired taste."

Dear Scotch Naturals nail polish,
How am I ever supposed to be happy with cheap, off-brand nail polish now that I've seen you?!

www.scotchnaturals.com

P.S. If anyone decides to buy this for me, you should get the Cocktail Trio (with Leprochaun Lynch, Loch Ness Mystery, and Stone Fence) because then, you also get their deluxe top coat and a FREE nail buffer! (which equals, all in all, 20% off.)

P.P.S. For those of you were wondering, no, I do not drink scotch.  This post's title is Scotch Naturals's slogan.

a post!

Not having a working camera (which, by the way, is the reason for my non-posting lately - you don't even know how many posts are rumbling around in my head, but who wants to read a bunch of words without a fun picture to break it up?) is driving me crazy.  And then I found this picture, which I hope you all love as much as I do. This is real, people!  You can buy it if you want!  Awesome.  I looove that show!

GurglePot

I want to buy one of these pitchers so bad.  I wish they weren't $40.  But look how pretty it is!  I would feel so pretty and somehow sophisticated pouring water out of one of these into some guest at my house's cup. Go the website and click "Play Gurgle" and you'll get to hear what it sounds like every time you pour water out of it.  My favorites are the blue, green, coral, and red.  This green one would be so beautiful with my dishes.

So pretty!
