Harry Potter 1

I'm listening to the first Harry Potter book at work.... I never knew you were supposed to say Hagrid's name "Ru-bay-us."  I've always heard it (including in the movies) "Ruby-us."

It's the general consensus here in our house that the actor reading on your tape doesn't know how to say his name correctly!

After listening to the Harry Potter books I started using some of the British phrases randomly. Funny but also a little sad that I was talking like a HP book? Oh well, good times. We miss you guys!

I know - I've found myself wanting to speak in an English accent all the time, since I've been listening to them and not reading them :D We miss you, too! How's everything going? Do you like your new apartment?

And Mom - That's what I'm thinking, too! Except, it is the official guy who reads on all the tapes. You'd think he'd know how to say it the right way! :)

The narrator of the Potter books is hands down my favorite narrator of all time. I never would have gotten into them without hearing his marvelous voice characterizations on tape on the way to an Eddington reunion one year.

I know; I LOVE listening to him! I've been listening on youtube because someone has uploaded the books, but every once in a while a part is missing and I have to find it done by someone else... They're never as good.
